MINELex

MINELex (Multilingual, Interoperable Named Entity Lexicon) contains Named Entities (NEs) for English (974,567), Italian (125,806) and Spanish (137,583) connected to general domain lexicons (English WordNet, WordNet and the Italian SIMPLE-CLIPS) and two ontologies (SUMO and SIMPLE), in a format compliant with the ISO Lexical Markup Framework (LMF). Automatically built, it has been applied to validate questions regarding NEs in a state-of-the-art Question Answering system providing a 28% increment in accuracy.
